I know a lot of you out there love Martha Steward and don't get me wrong i like her too SOMETIMES, but i find lately her show its getting a bit/a lot boring, for example, yesterday she was making a plant stand (i know i will never make one), so she's making it or trying anyway and all of sudden she has to go to commercial, and she said you can go to my website for instructions, (she says that all the time) i know theres not enough time to make one right then and there, but c'mon then don't even bother showing it. I'm not too much of fan of her anyway, i just don't think her TV show its worth my time BUT THAT'S JUST ME! i also think some of you are a lot more creative and talented than she is. Somehow Martha Steward bugs me BUT THAT'S JUST ME, lol........what do you think of her TV show, do you like it??..

i had to show you what i made:o)!! ...we went for a much needed walk to the park today, and i picked up some branches, a few pine cones and made this arrangement, i put in some Christmas ornaments and i used some floral foam and a plastic bag inside just in case it gets wet , so i wouldn't damage the urn i already had...

i think i turned out really nice, don't you think? don't know how long it will last though,lol..thanks for looking and hope you all had a great weekend...

Well dear friends this is the view from my patio doors, it will my view for next 5 or 6 months, if this isn't depressing and sad i don't know what is. The picture doesn't really show how freezing it is,lol.. If any of you southern friends would like to trade places with me for even one week, you will make me the happiest girl in the world,lol.....so if you live in the south and you are having a bad day, it could be worse, look @ me!!!

Hello my dear friends, i hope you are all having a wonderful day....just a short post to get some feedback about what you think of the HINI flu shot. I haven't made up my mind just yet about it. People over here are panicking , and the hrs waiting at the clinics are endless. i love all the beautiful colors of fall..

It was a great Thanksgiving weekend for us, although i would have loved to have my whole family together, but we had each other only the three of us.

We ate a lot, played games, watched movies and besides the point i realized who my really good friends were(not very many i can tell you that!;-) ...

We went apple picking and had a great time , the colors of fall are truly, truly beautiful!! we got so many apples, so i will be busy making desserts,lol....

I thought my pretty candle holders needed some bling, so I went to home depot and bought a pack of magnetic crystal pendants and put it on my candle holders, i think i like them! to be honest, I'm getting a bit bore of all the things around my house, if only i could buy new stuff, but that's out the question..lol

I wonder if this happens to you too? they say that your furniture should last at least 10 or more years but mine are not that old and I'm ready for new ones, believe me!!lol..so my questions to you is are tired of your things?

On a more serious note, I'm very saddened to learn about Patrick Swayze passing yesterday, i knew he was sick but we always hoped for the best..he will be truly missed by hes family and friends...rest in peace Mr Swayze.. ..

hello girls......do you know that i just noticed that i have been blogging for a year?? wow i cant believe how time flies...
I want to thank each of you for coming by and read my nonsense posts every time, I'm so glad you are out there.....

Everything is back to normal over here, kids are back to school , the house feels so quiet that it
is boring at times and i don't even want to think about the very long and cold winter ahead:-(..

Well today is my birthday, I'm 38 now and I sure can feel it! everyday i wake up with a new pain in my body somewhere....I will be spending my day alone until later when John and Sophia get here, it's really sad when family is not around to celebrate together......have a wonderful day my friends, I'll try to cheer up a bit, after all IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!...

hello my friends, are you girls still out there?.

well we got back late last night, what a great time we had but you guys Fla is so hot and humid, i mean i liked it but if you don't have central air you are done!lol. i think i gained some weight also, couldn't stop myself from eating and the sweets, oh my so good!!.

we went to beach a few times the water was so warm i really wanted to stay there forever , time went by so fast , my mother came for a few days also , she lives in Cancun, it was so nice to see her with her grand kids.over all it was a nice vacation, very expensive though .we flew American airlines and let me tell you they charge for everything and a lot, had to pay for my luggage $15 and $65 because they said i was overweight(the luggage that is)lol, each way, i guess thats how they make their money back this days...

did you know that Queen Latifah has her own line of clothing?? i didn't.
well she's got some pretty bras also and the best part is they fit perfectly and the prices very reasonable, so i got myself a strapless bra for $21, its comfortable and stays put lol..now i'm really looking forward to wearing my dress 8-)....thanks for coming by.

she has lost a lot of weight, i think she looks great! thanks Queen Latifah for making my day, finally some celebrity makes something that fits..

.......I'm in the hunt for the perfect strapless bra that is!!!..i have tried and tried strapless bras to always feel uncomfortable and disappointed , you see have big boobs (36C) hate them btw, lol and its hard to find the perfect bra sometimes, i know i should probably NOT be wearing this dress for a couple of reasons like #1 because I'm a little old for it AND #2 because i feel i little(A LOT) overweight , but don't think that's gonna stop me from wearing IF i could only find the perfect bra, it really does not matter how much it'll cost me, i just wanna feel good in it .

I know my sister would definitely kill me if she sees me wearing something like this lol , but i feel hot and sticky these days and besides i love, love long dresses but then again maybe the reason why i can't find the perfect bra is because this dress its not for me....oh well i don't really care, I'm gonna keep looking for it before the summer ends...lol..

PS.. if you have any suggestion about where to find this bra , please send it my way i will really appreciated , maybe i will even post a pic of me with it on!!!(((the dress i mean)))but i'm not making any promises lol......have a great weekend everyone and thanks for stopping by..xx

hello my friends!! i really hope you are all doing great...

I'm sorry i haven't been around lately, i have been busy with concerts , activities and enjoying this weather although its getting very uncomfortable, way too humid for me! why can it be just right?.

anyways today its the very last day of school here, I'm having mixed emotions, my Sophia its gonna be in grade three next year , wow where did the years go? we are planning on going to visit my family down in FL if( i find some cheap tickets)just the two of us. Johnny has to work but maybe he'll surprise us and meet us there, will see.....i might not be around as much, I'll be busy now but I'll checking to say hello sometime..

hello my friends..
i have been very depressed today, its been raining, raining all night and all day, don't know what else to clean I'm going crazy in the house, although i did make some Churros, ( i guess i needed some comfort food) they are so yummy!!! if you are not familiar with it google it, is some Latin pastry that's really bad for your waist but it taste soooo good , we grew up on this stuff ;0) its all over the streets of Miami when go visit, I'm surprise I'm not 500lbs lol . i bought this box at wal-mart when we went to the states over the weekend (no such thing over here!) give it try i'm sure you will love it!! lol..

BTW we have been having a blast watching the hockey game finals, my husband is a BIG fan of the Detroit Red Wings and hopefully they will bring home the the cup on Tuesday night!!!!!! GO WINGS!!!!!!.

well, yesterday we went to the states like i said , it was beautiful day and luckily it was so quick getting across, now that there is the new law about passports, if you don't have one you can't go to the states even if you live in the states you must have the proper documents to get back into your own country......(((don't know if that's good or bad)))...

first we stopped at Target i just bought some detergent (have you noticed the price of detergent these days??$$ unbelievable!!!) and a couple of things in the dollar area, really not much that caught my eyes;0) then we went to Walmart, it was packed i should 've known it was Saturday , it was so busy and so big, i mainly bought some groceries and a couple of summer tops and shorts for Sophia. i wanted some beautiful home and garden dishes badly but i really didn't need them and besides i was with John (my husband) and i must be good when he is around if you know what i mean;0)..... then we went for quick lunch @chili's, it was OK way to busy and loud, and finally on the way home we filled up with gas at the Duty Free Shop, so much cheaper in the states than here, we are getting charge so much money even though is Canadian gas , so go figure????lol......

over all it was a great day but i much , much rather go with my friends it just so much more fun, oh well maybe next time....hope you are having a great Sunday, a lot of rain over here and really humid which i can't stand...... thanks for coming to visit girls, here some pics of the trip getting across i forgot to take pics of the rest ..............see you and love you all xo...

this bridge is usually bumper to bumper, it never looks like this but i guess not too many people have passports yet....

those tall buildings are downtown Detroit...

the left side is Detroit and the right is Canada, see how close we are? being so close to the states its just about the only good thing about living in Windsor, too many people have lost their homes/jobs/benefits/ retirements .......after all ,this is the automotive industry area, so you can just imagine, I really hope things turn around for the better very soon, it can't get any worse...now you know little about my neck of the woods.....

over the bridge, sorry a bit blurry. it looks nice from a distance but when you get close its really poor and dirty it makes me think that no-one really cares about this part of the country just like New Orleans but that's a different post,,,,too sad. Can't wait for the chance/opportunity someday to move out here...seriously..

I'm trying to change my dress just a little, so I'm playing with this background see how i like it for a few days...
i wanted to show you what i did yesterday to one of my lamps, remember the one with the pom-poms? well i thought it could look better, so i got myself some burlap from wall-mart only $.97 and covered it up . i see burlap everywhere so it must be" in" and it was cheap, i think it looks nice, it updates the look a bit. i was also browsing http://www.horchow.com/index.jhtml and came across some very pretty lamps, i have never been to that store, they do have beautiful things but very $$ even when they are on sale. Do you have a horchow near you?? did you ever find good deal in there??..

hi my friends, thank you for waiting so patiently, finally i finished the room. theres so much more i would like to do but, i think for now its just fine, it's not a huge change but at least is something prettier to look at.. .. i hope you like the wallpaper i decided on , the mirror took me the longest to find and it didn't come cheap $230 but i really liked it and i thought it was perfect for that spot(maybe a little higher be better;0).....as always i thank you my friends for coming to visit everyday, i appreciate all of your suggestions and ideas you girls are the best......love you all..

hello my bloggy friends, went back to home depot and two hrs later got the wallpaper, wont tell you what it is just yet,lol.... then i went to a few stores and looked at some mirrors ...tell me what you think..... # one.......from Bombay its $199...

# two.. also from Bombay its huge, my heart is calling this one but not my wallet $289....

#three .... very trendy but looks really good up there and the price just right only$50.

#four..... i really like it and very heavy and it was only$60..you can tell i put it on hold, hehe

why , oh why can't i find a mirror like this one!!! is this picture amazing or what? love everything about it, i guess you can mix silver and gold (notice the frames) i think the pictures are hung a bit to high though, but who I'm i to criticized this!!!!. hello my friends, days off are over eh! back to normal. i know the feeling when that alarm goes off in the early morning .....lol.

well today i finally went to home depot and picked up some samples of wallpaper, they had so many to choose from but i decided on this three they were the closest to my colors. i like them all but i think I'm going with #1..what do you think??? i need your input , each roll is $32.oo+ so help me choose wisely!!!lol (THEY LOOK BETTER IN PERSON) or (you can say you don't like any)..lol

i wasn't sure about postings this (you know my messy bed)but i thought why not??? its met Monday and we are friends right?? so I'm gonna let you in a little secret of mine (i don't make my bed everyday) please don't think bad of me i just sometimes go back to bed when Sophia leaves for school , so there i said it!!!! i just close the door, no-one goes in my BR anyways..every Monday i change my sheets though and i have to admit it really feels great sleeping on a nice, crisp, clean bed ... what brings me to ask you, how often do you make/change your beds????:0)......

i have been trying to keep busy these days and by that i mean trying to keep away form the malls , coffee shops , lunches with my friends,etc. I'm telling you its hard .

every time Sophia leaves for school @ 8.00am its like i have to go somewhere and you know what happens when you leave the house SPENT,SPENT, SPENT money . every Monday i go to bank get some spending money for the week(that's not including groceries) and by today i have no money left, cant believe how easy it is to spent(waste) money, but i should tell you that I'm the worst with money i admit!!....so I'm gonna try my best to stay on budget, i have to.
today i stayed home made some brownies, some jello and a pot of homemade pasta sauce and organized my cupboards. i don't know about tomorrow though lol, i don't wanna be cooking and cleaning all day;o)..
are you girls having the same issue and if so what do you do to keep busy and to keep your money in your wallets, lol .....

this morning i received the most wonderful gift. My friend Lisa from Living Upward send me this box full of wonderful things i was so happy , Lisa made the beautiful plate YES!!! she made it, isn't it sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have been wanting the get the Target salt and pepper birdies for a long time and since we don't have a Target here in Canada i couldn't, to be honest i felt a little left out, lol all of you had one except me , but now i got my very own birdies lol, you may see them on my next bar scape coming soon lol...and what about the pretty stationery set ???nice eh! yeap, i know I'm a lucky girl...lol..

today was a weird day around here for some reason.
it rained, it was very windy and then the sun came up again. i didn't feel like doing anything at all, i felt very sleepy but i went to the store and returned the mirror anyways , i looked around some more but couldn't find anything that i liked , I'll keep my eyes out for something unique...
anyways this was the view tonite from our kitchen so i had to take pictures , pretty eh? i should look outside and enjoy nature more often , i much rather have the beach view of course! but for now this is what we got .
i want to wish you all my dear friends a very happy mothers day , i really hope we all get spoiled tomorrow because we deserve it!!!...i love you all.....

well my friends i went out today and got the mirror i have been dreaming of for a while, somehow it was gonna be my mother's day gift so i brought it home i was so excited and had my dh hold it up for me (he was very helpful btw)lol, to only find out that although it is a beautiful mirror it was a bit to fancy for my little basement (besides the price $250+) yeap! you read that right girls!!!! what was i thinking eh???lol , they had other ones a little cheaper ($179+) so tomorrow I'm taking this beauty back and see what else i can find, i know for sure we need a mirror in there this basement does not have windows on this side so i need to bring some light over here.
